Apple AirPods 4 Specs and Price

Apple unveiled the AirPods 4 in September 2024, offering a balanced set of old and new features. While they build on the strengths of previous versions, they don’t drastically overhaul the experience, but there are some useful tweaks. Priced at KSh 24,000, they provide decent value in the premium earbud market.

One of the key features is the adaptive EQ. It adjusts the sound based on your ears, delivering a more personal listening experience. The spatial audio with dynamic head tracking is a surprise addition, giving a more immersive sound, especially when watching movies or listening to live recordings.

The AirPods 4 have a vent system to help balance pressure, which makes them comfortable for long use. The microphones, including dual beamforming and inward-facing ones, ensure clear call quality with help from computational audio. While the battery lasts up to 30 hours with the charging case, talk time maxes out at around 20 hours, which is more than enough for everyday use.

Notably, they’ve switched to a USB-C charging case, in line with the new iPhones. This is a useful change for those already in the Apple ecosystem. All in all, the AirPods 4 are a good option for everyday use, though they feel more like a refinement than a leap forward.
